Wittevrouwen is considered to be one of the nicest neighbourhoods in Utrecht and. is located in the northeast side of Utrecht. The narrow streets give the neighborhood a village allure with the advantage of being nearby the city center. The central location and the trendy locales (Ko!e75, Roberto’s, Goesting, Gastmaal Café) make Wittevrouwen a favorite neighborhood among young families.

Thanks to the courtyards, the inner gardens, the mansions and ‘workers’ houses, Wittevrouwen has a characteristic appearance with a perfect location in the northeast of Utrecht. Bordering the city center, you can sit comfortably on the terrace within a few minutes in summer, but more and more terraces can also be found in Wittevrouwen itself. In addition, Wittevrouwen is located directly on the Vogelenbuurt, Buiten-Wittevrouwen and Zeeheldenbuurt. The Bilstraat forms the southern border of this beautiful district. Over the years, the many employment agencies in the Biltstraat have made way for cozy restaurants, trendy coffee shops and other unique store concepts.

The Griftpark is a modern city park for young and old. The Griftpark and its beautiful city nature offer a great view of the city. The petting zoo and playgrounds also make this park very suitable for young children. The various planned activities mean that there is always something to do in the park. Wittevrouwen is perfectly accessible by public transport. For example, an important bus route between Central Station and the Uithof with Utrecht University, Hogeschool Utrecht and UMC Utrecht runs through the district. Many other bus lines also stop on the Biltstraat, such as the bus to Zeist or the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. You can be in the city center on foot or by bike in no time and by car you are on the eastern ring road (A27) within 10 minutes.
